Summer stories. From Sasha with Love.

Tanning time.

I am naturally very pale…vampire pale >:)
I have been through fazes when I was hitting sun bed every other day
I had a faze when I was using different fake tan products, such as
St. Tropez, FakeBake etc.
But I wasn’t satisfied with either …Fake tan stinks and sun bed is just as bad as smoking
I had a faze when I just accepted my paleness..
Who said that pale aristocratic look is not attractive?
I had a faze when I was scared of sun..literally..i felt like my skin cells are aging with every second..i mean I was never a fan of frying myself on the beach like Nandos chicken… but this time I took it to extreme applying spf 50 during winter…

I am sure everyone will agree that sun kissed skin makes us look healthier, skinnier, blemishes are fading away…and you can finally put on that skirt without worring that your legs will attract
Social services (cuz they are so blue one will think your BF hits you or you are a heroin addict)
I think what is important is to find the golden middle and enjoy sun safely.

This is what I do on my holiday(hope it helps)
First 3 days I use spf 50 body and face (do not forget the ears…yes they do burn too)
Don’t forget the hat!!! I always forget mine and I always regret it
Try and not to be on the beach for longer than 3 hours at the time…applying product with spf
Ever so often. Another thing that I have noticed..is that people start to apply their cream as soon as they come to the beach…cream takes about 15-20 min to work so it does make a difference
So try and apply it at home before you get out..plus the journey to the beach can be enough to burn you.  Pay extra attention to areas that are easier to burn: shoulders, nose, ears, chest and feet. Drink plenty of water! I go through about 2-3 litres per day and I noticed that I feel refreshed more energized and headache (which can be a symptom with dehydration) goes away.
After first 3 days(sometimes longer) hopefully my skin adapt to the sun and I can use lower spf…normally if I notice a little redness I will try and avoid the sun next day. Also it is crucial to use after sun which cools down your skin, calms down the irritation and prevents it from peeling. I like Eucerin after sun and also other creams with aloe vera….you can also help your body to produce melanin with either taking the Bio Carotene pill but I prefer to get naturally and get it with food. Say hello to super food that provide beta-carotene:  sweet potatoes, carrots, kale, spinach, turnip greens, winter squash, collard greens, cilantro, freshthyme, cantaloupe, romaine lettuce and broccoli.
Have fun in the sun and stay friends not enemies :))))))

P.S. I am wearing H&M bikini, Republic hoodie, Billabong flip flops ))))
